L'été indien [English translation]
L'été indien [English translation]
You know, i've never been happier in my life than at that morning back then
When we walked along a beach that looked a lot like the one i'm looking over now
It was autumn... yes, that autumn was fair and beautiful:
A season that only exists in the North of Americas
There, they call it the “summer of indians”
And it was simply all ours...
Looking at you wearing your long dress, i thought i'm seeing divine art of Marie Laurencin...
And i do recall, yes i do recall very well the words i told you that morning...
was it a year ago ? a century ? an etenity ?!
You tell me
When you want
Where you want to be
We'll be there and our love
Will last through end of the times
All our life
Shall be filled
With all acquarelles
Coloured shades :“summer of indians”
Today i'm far away from that autumn morning
But i do feel as if i came to visit there
i'm thinking of you...
How are you ?
Where are you ?
May my existance mean anything to you again ?
i'm seeing waves that i know will never reach bottom dunes
and you see, very similarly, i lie on the sand and recall
i recall sun, high tides, and our happiness coming over the sea...
was it a year ago ? a century ? an etenity ?!
You tell me
When you want
Where you want to be
We'll be there and our love
Will last through end of the times
All our life
Shall be filled
With all acquarelles
Coloured shades :“summer of indians”
