Лебединая верность [Lebyedinaya vernost'] [English translation]
Лебединая верность [Lebyedinaya vernost'] [English translation]
Two white swans were flying over the land
on a sunny day.
It was pleasant and joyful for them
to be in the sky together,
And the world seemed to be tender
at that moment.
Suddenly, somebody shot at the birds
and a cry burst out.
What's wrong with you, my darling?!
Please, answer me at once!
Without your love
the sky grows duller and duller.
Where on earth are you, my darling?!
Please, come back at once.
Warm my heart
with your pure beauty.
The swan searched for his beloved friend in the sky
and called her from the nest.
Only Disaster though
answered him with silence.
The swan couldn't fly
to the distant lands.
Having lost his faithful companion,
he became lonely.
Please, forgive me, my darling
For the people's fault!
For my failure
to save our happiness.
Please, forgive me, my darling,
for not being together with you
In the blue spring sky
anymore.
This loss was
irreparable,
And the swan will never see
his dear partner again.
He flew up high in the sky,
broke off his song,
And, having folded his wings fearlessly,
fell down to the ground.
...
I want the flocks of swans to live
And make the world
And make the world
kinder.
Let the swans fly across the sky
above my motherland,
above my fate
To the bright human world.
