Tanta vida en cuatro versos [English translation]
Tanta vida en cuatro versos [English translation]
"One girl was dying for me,
I am dying for you,
you die for another man;
what an upside down world."
Coplas with wisdom,
that I found in the road,
so much life in four verses,
I thought for myself.
At the door of my house
I planted three trees,
I planted a faith, a hope
and an "I'll never forget you".
But I also planted,
because I know you are cautious,
an upside down heart
and a flower that says: forget.
Coplas like bakers
like clouds, like that
blackbird that sang calmly
at the shore of the Arapey.
I'm an old tiger fish,
who looks for the deepest,
the man needs liveliness
to live in the world.
But he also needs,
and the copla doesn't say it,
a woman as a partner,
a song when he's sad.
Bravery can do it all,
one must feel confident,
and what bravery can't do
hope will do it.
Coplas that are like a poncho
in a winter road
and for who wanders lost,
a spring water.
