And drops of water like pearls

Glimmering all over her

A strange song resounds through the street

That winter the wedding party had come for her

From afar, some other world

Foreign to me

And I just walked down the street

The first snow was falling

And still, at times, jingle the bells

That are carrying her to who knows where

To marry, I have when

Here, I remained a bachelor till now

But I had never again met

A life, simple, calm

Sometimes I toss a card, or write a verse

Things happen

And I keep myself out of their way

I'm loving good ones, I'm loving easy ones

Some of them right, some not

And all are faeries, all of them queens

And all insignificant compared to her
