God, you who live at Mount Zion, only you deserve to be praised

by us, and that each one of us keeps the vows made to you. You hear

our prayers, that’s why all humans come to you. Our offences

are too heavy a burden on our shoulders, but you can forgive our faults.

How fortunate are those who have been chosen by you! They’re allowed

to come close to you and to live in the atriums of your temple.

We’d like to rejoice with all the good things we are given

at your holy house.

God, our saviour, you are loyal to us, you answer us

with powerful deeds. You are the hope of this Earth,

up to the most remote of the seas. You put the mountains where they are

by using your power. You’re ready to fight armed with all your might. And

you silence the fury of the oceans, the roaring of their waves; you

silence the fury of the peoples as well. They’re all afraid of your

miracles, in all corners of this Earth. Your deeds

inspire joy and rejoice eveywhere where there are human beings. You

look after the soil, you make it rich and fertile: that way you let

grains grow to feed humankind. God, your streams are always

full of water; you moisten the furrows and level the clods of earth,

you water the fields with rainwater and bless

what germinates in them. You crown each year with good gifts, leaving

abundance on your trail. Steppes are covered

by a lush green, hills echo with shouts of happiness.

Pastures adorn themselves with herds, valleys cover themselves

with swaying crops- everything is full of joy and singing.
