Circul [English translation]
Circul [English translation]
You, in love with the circus, come to the stall,
Today we present you something sensational.
It's not about acrobats, like so many times before,
Not about dancers on the high wire, or about magicians.
In a special circus act, worthy of an artist,
You laugh and clap your hands, the clown is sad!
Today he will shed tears from his ears in three buckets.
So laugh, even if you think the trick is much too old!
One day, while the happy clown was sleeping,
He saw a flower in a dream and he fell in love.
But since clowns never keep a secret,
He told to everyone about the flower, poor indiscreet!
And one day, while he dreamed his wonderful dream,
Someone, also a clown, stole his dream.
The clown woke up then and, very troubled,
He left in a hurry after the dreams thief.
You laugh and clap your hands, how sensational!
Without a trapeze net, he make a deadly leap.
And on the high wire he make another step, and then
He catch the thief and he asks for his dream back.
But the story I'm telling you is about to end,
The flower he found had a withered body.
You laugh and clap your hands, the clown, as you see,
Sad, with bitter tears he fills three buckets.
But here's what you don't know yet: after you're gone,
He had tears in his eyes for real.
Come tomorrow all of you again, two by two,
Because this trick also seems very, very old.
You don't forget, when you leave from the stall,
From all your memories, the memory of a sensational clown!
