the sky is brighter

The Moon blends in with the morning

and is even more beautiful

Crunch of sand under sole of a boot

we are surrounded by little ones

who pick the empty shells in mountains of Afghanistan

Their eyes are so old, they have already seen things

A song is brought by the warm wind from Pakistan

Over Afghanistan

different stars are glowing

Mars is ruling over this land

and that's not enough for the soul

Goats bleat in the mountains that is poppy not pea

the men have war under their skin they wear turbans

The sun like crazy heats up the rocks

like blind we go through the plains of Afghanistan

Flying under the clouds we will buy some tobacco

the one the paratroopers like to stuff in their mouths amongst sand

I will buy them from guys with weird smiles

they don't like the taste of Americans nor Russians

Herds are crossing the dried out land

fear is laughing and poverty smirks

and tomorrow is written in the stars

High to the sky the tall mountains reach

for hundreds of years watching the horrors

and fine dust welcomes us
