Bienaventurados [English translation]
Bienaventurados [English translation]
They give you life
but they don't gift it to you.
Life is paid
for the more it torments you.
It's been like this since
God tossed man out of Eden,
for confusing
that what is good
for what conveniences him.
If in payments or upfront
life takes its toll,
slices and finishes
up the the last crumb.
That if in each joy
there is a bitterness,
all misfortune hides some advantage.
Blessed are the fools
that put themselves at risk to lend advice
for they will be wise at the expense
of other people's errors.
Blessed are the poor
for they know, with certainty,
that no one must love them for their riches.
Blessed are the addicts to strong emotions
for time flies for fun-living people.
Blessed are the owners of power and glory
for they inform us of how the thing goes.
Blessed are those who reach the peak
for it will be downhill the rest of the journey.
Blessed are those who experience defeat
for they will recognise their friends.
In whatever circumstance
for dreadful it may be,
search for the way
to live happily ever after;
that in spite of how high
that they set the bar for us,
it's necessary to leap
with the intention
of being happy.
Blessed are the chaste
for they have divine grace
and the chance to stop being it
at the turn of one's back.
Blessed are those who passionately love
for they have at their power
more than fifty percent of a grand romance.
Blessed are those who are at the bottom of the well
for from there and forwards
there is only room to get better.
Blessed are those who blow their own trumpet
for they will have the chance
to demonstrate it.
Blessed are those who incurred in a debt
for at one time someone did something for them.
Blessed are those who have it clear
for theirs is the kingdom of the blind.
