Smitten by betrayal a glass of poison I grabbed

To cock up my toes, that's what I wished

But the very same day, just inches above the water

a jewel of a woman I met by chance

and I said to myself: let's go on, let's have a ball,

to hell with the poison, let's live on

flight from shadows, I've made it.

I stand before a paradise and I am glad.

The day before yesterday wasn't the greatest either

A waterfall ran down my flat

What to do, dear friends?

To jump out of a window?

But standing on the sill I peered at our small courtyard,

little boys were just playing marbles there,

so I galloped to them

and buried my grief.
