Лунатики [Lunatiki] [English translation]
Лунатики [Lunatiki] [English translation]
By the morning they will be missed.
Far away from it all
Three lunatics, all barefoot,
Walked on wire awol.
Moon was singing to them all night
Tale about unknown,
And by now they are haunted by
Stubborn thought of their own:
"To Moon city, world demented,
Farther, farther from Earth's fuss,
To Moon city, world of wonders,
Our thoughts have carried us."
It appears, it seems to them,
That their home is not here,
But it's rather among the stars
Tossed above blue sky sphere.
They already threw rocks at them,
Yet stars failed to dislodge -
Either clouds would cover them,
Or the hand would slip off.
To Moon city, world demented,
Farther, farther from Earth's fuss,
To Moon city, world of wonders,
Our thoughts have carried us.
And to hell, and to hell with them -
Far away from it all
Three lunatics, all barefoot,
Walked on wire awol.
To Moon city, world demented,
Farther, farther from Earth's fuss,
To Moon city, world of wonders,
Our thoughts have carried us.
