Jagdzeit [English translation]

Endowed with magnificence

By God himself, a vamp was created

From a good family1, spoiled and clever

The gravestone for ballsy players2

She pursues the trends, she’s dangerous

Obscene, vulgar, overpowering and honest

Seductive, whorish and provocative

The slut has you well in hand

I’m small, my heart is pure

Don’t you wanna be my toy?

[chorus:]

Hunting season, it’s hunting season

So run! Run, baby, run!

The bitch who everyone knows by name

The hook on which your heart already hangs

Run, run baby, run

Her smile as real as her tits

Magnet for men with big cars

She pours on the charm, and makes you hot

Her love is fickle and sinfully costly

The knockout who wipes the floor with you

The snake who serves you every lie ice cold

The bitch who everyone knows by name

The fuse that’s gonna burn your ass

I’m small, my heart is pure,

Don’t you wanna be my victim?

[Chorus]

The chick who runs roughshod over you3

The blonde poison that consumes your heart

Hunting season, run baby, run

Vulgar bitch, cunning minx

In bed you’ve got your hand at the helm

Your lips, your mouth, your sex

Your spirit has bewitched me

Your eyes, your scent, your hair, your knowledge,

Your power, your chains, your filth, my conscience

Your quirks, my hands, your gaze

Your madness, my desire, your fucking

[Chorus]

The broad that eternally entices and calls

The prey that seeks vastness

Run, run baby, run!

The trail is fresh, ready to pounce

Schlachtfest4 in the clearing

Run, run baby, run!

1. German says from a good house, but as the same implications as this English phrase, meaning someone from a rich, upper-class, well educated background2. A "Stecher" can be used either derogatorily or congratulatorily to refer to a woman's sexual partner. Player seemed the closest equivalent. There's a unique meaning in the German that doesn't translate though - a "Stecher" is an engraver, or someone who would inscribe a tombstone so the German implies the player is making their own grave as well3. 'mit jemanden schlitten fahren' is an idiom meaning to treat someone harshly, bully them, or be inconsiderate. Since the German involved driving a sled I chose 'run roughshod over' as a somewhat similar English expression.4. When used in English, Schlachtfest is rarely translated. It literally means 'slaughter festival' and involves a pigroast.
