Infinito Particular [English translation]
Infinito Particular [English translation]
Here's the best and the worst of me
My thermometer, my carat
Come, my man, portray me
It's not impossible
I'm not that hard to be read
Play that part of yours
I am from here, I am not from Mars
Come, my man, notice me1
Can't you see, it's so obvious2, I'm flag bearer of my own
Just don't get lost entering
In my own private infinity
In just a few moments
I'm teeny tiny and also giant
Come, my man, declare yourself
The world is portable
For those who have nothing to hide
Look right at my face
It's just mystery, there's no secret
Come here, don't be afraid
The water is drinkable
From here you can slug down3
Just don't get lost entering
In my own private infinity
1. in the original there's a word play; "repara" can mean both "fix" and "notice". That's why in some translations you'll see a difference here. However, I consider "notice" as a more fitting translation considering the song as a whole.2. another interesting word play here, that unfortunately gets lost in translation: "cara" can mean both "face", "dear (female)", "expensive (female)" and "dude"/"man"/"guy"; plus, "tá na cara" is an idiom that means "it's on the nose" or, as I put here, "it's obvious". I preferred the "obvious" translation for sing-ability purposes3. I know "drink" would be a much better translation, but I went for "slug down" for sing-ability purposes
