The devil is a formal gentleman,

who never forgets his jacket and hat

who lives in a house with built-in closets

to hide fear and the unknown.

The devil is as precise as hunger,

perfect and orderly as fraud

sometimes he has a belly and if he doesn't,

he is bald like all his pleasures.

in a thick black portfolio

He proudly crawls through history

and lies down with impoverished memories.

The devil wakes up very early,

tired of the comfort that chains him,

and runs through the streets hastily

to share his boredom and his pain.

in the mirror and in the pocket of whomever.

except peace, light, springtime.
