Det är livsfarligt att luta sig ut [English translation]

[Verse 1]

We met in February near the bar

1000 minus, inexperienced

In the middle of the affirmation addiction

Before we lost our self-confidence

(You) Over sharp knees and thin calves1

Me over if you see me naked

It gave me something to keep me awake

Two white feathers flying from a broken seam on the shoulder of your jacket

I wonder, are you as broken inside as you are outside

In that case we are two, that no one would bet on

We will never win anything anyway

It gave me something to keep me awake

[Chorus]

You shouldn't be here with me

I will only pick you apart

It's so fucking2 hard for me to say no

It's suicidal3 to lean out

You're not allowed to fall in love with me

And I'm not allowed to fall in love with you

Because it never turns out as one expects

It's suicidal to lean out

[Verse 2]

It was something super dorky you said

To flatter me, to make me happy

To make an insult a compliment

Is a talent that have worked before 4

And I have heard it before

But I still like you moves

Even though you stole them out of a help yourself5

[Chorus]

You shouldn't be here with me

I will only pick you apart

It's so fucking hard for me to say no

It's suicidal to lean out

You're not allowed to fall in love with me

And I'm not allowed to fall in love with you

Because it never turns out as one expects

It's suicidal to lean out

It's suicidal to lean out

You shouldn't be here with me

I will only pick you apart

It's so fucking hard for me to say no

It's suicidal to lean out

You're not allowed to fall in love with me

And I'm not allowed to fall in love with you

Because it never turns out as one expects

It's suicidal to lean out

1. barely audible, but she sings "du" (you) in the start of the sentence, which makes more sense with the previous line. Still put it in brackets since it wasn't in the provided lyrics.2. "jävla" is one of the most common Swedish cuss words, originating from the word for devil (djävul), the closest English cuss word for it is still 'fuck/fucking' despite them having different meanings they are still used similarly (but you could replace it with any cuss word working as an adjective/interjective); 'bloody' for instance works, but in my eyes isn't quite as "vulgar" and "rough" (again, in my eyes)3. or "fatal"4. "spika" means nail/nailing, from what I read here and from what I heard in the song it doesn't make much sense (native speaker btw), might be slang but nothing pops up there either (could possibly be east cost Swedish slang, since Miriam is from Gothenburg, but honestly I'm clueless); long story short - I translated this sentence based on the verse as a whole, trying to make some sense of it, so this line might not be 100 % accurate.5. help yourself book
