A Pebble lyrics
A Pebble lyrics
A test of knowledge of that which surrounds us
A pebble lies cradled in the grains of sand
If a man grasps its presence in exodus
Should he toss it into the water's hand
Then a terrible mistake has fallen to him
The pebble's presence would be unknown then
If he grasps it and throws it aside in whim
It again becomes anonymously of the fen
Should he keep it and tuck it away so
At a latter date to observe, this is well
Better yet that might a passer-by go
The gift of a pebble is bestowed and befell
The modest apparelled stone is then a gem
If kept more preciously than diamond's worth
To preserve the beauty when alone requiem
With purpose to preserve, replace it to its terral berth
