Home Sweet Homeis an accomplished feat of genre filmmaking, which does something fresh with familiar tropes. It is a genuinely nerve-wracking viewing experience, said Mike Chapman, managing director of Blue Finch.

The film is produced by Constanze Guttmann and Friederich Oetker at Constantin Film. It is co-produced by Benedikt Bllhoff and Max Frauenknecht at Viafilm. The executive producers are Martin Moszkowicz and Christoph Mller. The production was supported and funded by the German Federal Film Board and the German Federal Film Fund.
The theatrical distributor in Germany is Constantin Film Verleih, which will release the film on Jan. 25.
Siebens first feature film, Distanz, starring Ken Duken, opened the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section at the Berlinale in 2009, and screened at over 25 festivals. Since then, Sieben has directed and written three more feature films: Staudamm, Kidnapping Stella and Prey. The last two played worldwide as Netflix Originals.
