Nancy [English translation]

Some time ago Nancy was alone

at her last show, with her trinkets.

In the Palace of Justice, 1her father was innocent,

in the Palace of Mystery there was nothing at all,

there was almost nothing.

Some time ago we were inattentive,

she wore green stockings and slept with everybody.

But she never asked anybody “What will you do tomorrow?”

she fell in love with everyone of us, not only with someone,

not just with someone.

And some time ago, with her broken phone,

from the third floor she searched for her serenity.

We used to say that she was free, and no one was sincere,

no one of us would have courted her in the Palace of Mystery,

in the Palace of Mystery.

And wherever you send your thoughts now, you meet Nancy stopping them,

many people made use of her body, many people combed her hair.

And in the void of night, when you’re cold and lost

it’s still Nancy that tells you “My love, I’m glad you came,

I’m glad you came!”
