El crucifijo de piedra [English translation]

when I was loving her,

when I was feeling her

my everything I saw her going

she promised me that she would return

but everything was a lie

because her soul was not for me.

In the silent night,

we looked at each other face to face

without speaking.

She said to me suddenly

to forget her love

that she didn't want to deceive me

It was under the crucifix

of the tower of a church,

when the moon shone us.

I hugged her in my arms

with a desire to stop her,

but the pride prevented me from doing it.

Already alone in front of the church

and crying before the Christ,

i went to implore.

Looking at my sadness,

the crucifix of stone

also started to weep.
