Casandra [English translation]
Casandra [English translation]
Cassandra saw the future in dreams.
In the shade of a nightmare Cassandra read
the verses of that poem that wasn't written yet
by the gods who, laughing, hurted her with her curse.
She knew about hunger and wars since forever,
about bufoons celebrating hate, dancing among fireplaces,
of farewells and mineral monsters
drinking insatiably the sweet sap of the planet.
Cassandra saw men and women
sleeping in their bubbles
behind the masks of fear.
But she also saw the morning light
appearing over the gate that nobody opened.
She knew there were still hopes,
that another dreams were waiting for her.
Cassandra spoke to everyone about her dreams
but no one heard her.
Nobody believed in Cassandra and her visions
and the people only saw in her omen ravings and crazyness.
The condemned her to roam lost and lonely.
Heresy is to show the naked and brutal truth.
Abandoned, after many years she was found
by a young man who was looking for hopes and answers.
Cassandra spoke with passion of her omens
and the light of the dawn shining behind the gate.
- I believe in you Cassandra. You're not crazy.
They kissed and in her mouth honeysuckles bloomed.
- Sweet Cassandra, get up.
- I knew you before, Maybe I dreamed of you.
There's who doubt it and believes in the legend.
Together they'll look for the door.
Sweet morning.
I don't know about you but...
I believe in Cassandra.
There's who doubt it and believes in the legend.
Together they'll look for the door.
Sweet morning.
I don't know about you but...
I believe in Cassandra.
