Nashville Pussy: Let Them Eat Pussy
The name Nashville Pussy comes from a lyric in a song by the original rocking hunter, Ted Nugent, but The Nuge wishes he had some of what Nashville Pussy has. Rock 'n' roll from the word go, Let Them Eat Pussy features 12 tracks of crank-rock, Motorhead-style, without enough of a pause between songs to stop your head from buzzing. It's amazing how close the album comes to actually recapturing Nashville Pussy's fire-breathing, amp-exploding, scantily clad live performances: The members beat their instruments with loving fury, as though they've gotten drunk in every sleazy music club in every city in America looking for the essence of rock. Considering the legacy of their former bands, namely Nine Pound Hammer and Phantom Creeps, that's probably more true than it sounds. And you know what They're successful beyond their wildest dreams. Let Them Eat Pussy's running time is awfully brief, but it is plenty long on attitude.
