Sombrero [English translation]
Sombrero [English translation]
[Spanish] This is the true story of Sombrero,
Caballero of the pampa,
a friend to the people and to God,
come on brother, with braveness and with passion!
He was born already on a horse,
he had a rifle and a black cloak,
the called him Pedro Felipe,
but the people only knows him as Sombrero.
He [Spanish] had a fear of [Spanish]God,
[Spanish] short hair and [Spanish] a warm heart,
he would always live alone
with his sombrero, but he loved the people.
And he shot ran laughed played
he sang a song,
a story of blood, a story of love,
when he shot he was still,
his precise heart aimed at the heart
He stole, but only to give
the stuff of the rich to the poor black men,
no one has ever met him,
but every peon only loves Sombrero
and he shot ran played cheated
Maybe he looked for a [Spanish] friend,
a beer, a cloak or who knows what else,
It turned out only much later,
Sombrero sang and he looked for a bride
It seems like there were ten of them
that day, in the pampa, following Sombrero
A fire shot at the heart
broke the caballero's life
and he loved suffered laughed died
Noone saw him dying,
that's why the people knows it's not true
In the eyes of those who have suffered
there is a hope, a friend, Sombrero
And they sing his songs,
the stories of blood, the stories of love
Even if he's no longer there,
he left to the county a piece of his heart.
