It is said the soul's being thrives

By the self awareness that lies within

That none but men carry such

But who is say that truly is so

Could not a lowly ameoba know

Awareness that seeks and retracts

Are we not too bound to stimuli's law

That prevents harm, or seeks pleasure

So then it is said that a soul knows

Of right, of wrong, of even God

Yet are these not knowledge shared

In life's lessons sown in spirit so

And then there comes a quandary

Of God's existence, and how so

That lies within the hearts of men

A fearful creature deducing fate

So each soul made aware in time

Conditioned, created communally

Reaches out for limitless hope

That lies beyond mere survival's realm

Then God is each man made

Wrought in reason's relative drafting

That none other can know or touch

And alone shall stay at death

So what is this idea so sure

That it cannot be shared by others

Estranged by belief so idealistic

That precludes their options had

None can take to heart what they know not

Nor find truth in exclusions made

That perfection ideal would toss away

A believer's face hiding doubt

So then the grand summation seen

That is granted in intellect had

Is God is engengered in all alive

Self aware and with destined care
