I am the fiancee of he whom the angels serve, all trembling, for all eternity.

The moon and the sun recount his praises, admire his beauty.

He has furnished my hand with unparalleled pearls.

He has placed around my neck necklaces of great worth.

On this blessed day, shining at my ears are celestial rubies.

He has already placed his sign on my face,

So that no lover dares to approach me.

My heart is supported by the divine grace

Of my kind King.

With his precious blood, my cheeks are coloured.

I believe I have already tasted the delicacies of heaven!

And I can meditate on his sacred lip.

And the milk, and the honey.

Also, I fear nothing, not iron, not flame,
