Jeremy Renner Runs Uphill for the First Time in Video Celebrating 10 Months of Recovery Since Snow Plow Accident: I Was ‘Brought to Tears of Joy’
Jeremy Renner marked 10 months of recovery since his near fatal snow plow accident by posting a video of him running up and down his inclined driveway, which he says was his first attempt at any of this activity. Renner was hospitalized for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries on Jan. 1 after his Sno-Cat, a large snow plow that weighs at least 14,330 pounds, ran him over.
Today marks the day on 10 months of recovery, Renner captioned the new video post. First attempt at any of this activity (especially at steep grade) and was brought to tears of joy, hopefulness, and gratitude for all your support along with my family and friends I keep pushing for many reasons, but you are my fuel.
Renner was trying to help his nephew out of the snow near his home in Lake Tahoe when the Sno-Cat crushed him at the start of the year.
Earlier this month, the Hawkeye actor revealed he tried every type of therapy in the aftermath of the accident, including countless hours of physical therapy, peptide injections, IV drips and pushes, stem cell and exosomes, red light / IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunge and the list goes on and on.
But my greatest therapy has been my mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better, Renner added. Be exceptional I feel its my duty to do so. Not to squander my life being spared, but to give back to my family, friends and all of you whom have empowered me to endure. I thank you all.
Renner frequently used social media in the months after his accident to keep fans updated on his recovery process and extensive physical therapy. He published videos of himself exercising and building up leg strength. By the April world premiere of his Disney+ series Rennervations, Renner was able to walk with the use of a cane down the red carpet.
