Electric Six covers You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch

Electric Six first caught the world's attention with "Danger! High Voltage!"— a massive single that was assisted on the chorus by their fellow Detroiter Jack White. But the band—led by Dick Valentine—has had a prolific career since, releasing eight albums since 2003's breakthrough, Fire. Valentine's wicked sense of humor traveled straight into the band's choice for a Holiday Undercover song, "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch." The song, originally written for the How The Grinch Stole Christmas TV special, was written by Dr. Seuss and Albert Hague, but performed by Thurl Ravenscroft—not Boris Karloff, who famously voiced the Grinch. Alas, if Valentine were only available in 1966, he would've done an admirable job. Electric Six's latest album is Heartbeats And Brainwaves. Dig it.
