It was rainy night, a guy got out of the forest.

He suddenly saw a lonely hut,

“I hope I will find there some place to stay till morning,

I’m very hungry and tired”.

Decrepit-looking old woman opened the door to the wanderer,

Let him inn and asked nothing.

She changed his clothes and fed him fat

Made a bad for him on the (Russian) oven.

As soon as the guy fell asleep,

The moan sounded from the cellar.

“Tell me, granny, what is that sound?”

He suddenly asked the old lady.

She answered:

“There is my deceased husband,

His spirit lives there and sings at nights.

Hey-hey – he beat people,

Hey-hey – he received in full”.

“I can’t listen to that horrible moan any more, granny,

I will go there and oust him, whoever he is!!!”

As the guy went down the cellar –

The old lady shut the door behind him.

“Oho, what a brave guy,

Well now, grandpa, meet the guest”.

“How many of you guys, wandering through the forests,

And each one ties to poke his nose to my cellar”.

Hey-hey – it’s in a moment,

Hey-hey – the old man is strong,

Hey-hey – it’s your loss.

The cry of death and scary grandpa’s chewing was heard,

And old lady approached the window and turned off the light.

Despite she killed him (her husband) herself and foredoomed to suffer,

Let’s everybody know that she is still devoted
