In the water of the clear fountain

she, completely nude, was bathing

when a gust of northerly wind

carried her clothes to the sky.

From thickness of hair she asked me,

in order to cover her body, to gather

a hundred branches of mimosa

and to interlace them all.

I wanted to cover her shoulders

fully with rose petals

but her breasts were so tiny

that a rose was enough.

I searched again in the vineyard

so she was not half bare

but her hips were so tiny

that a leaf was enough.

Then she, slightly amazed,

stretched out her arms to thank me

and I took her so ardently

that she was undressed again.

The graceful girl enjoyed this play

so she very often bathes again

in the fountain praying to God

for a gust of northerly wind.
