The sea’s feline and the cat of the wind

They’re my neighbors on this tree‘s limb,

On the strong branch of an ancient oak,

Only to each other we’re the visible folk,

We sit.

The sea rocks and the wind bears,

But what it means - no one cares.

No one asks, and it is a pity,

For it would to the chill bring hotness,

Clearly hot and weightless,

We sit, here’s the limit of any one word,

Wordless.

So we sit here drunk on the tea,

I think I’ll get up and will go meet thee.

Well, where’re you walking? Where’re you flying?

You’ll be the chill winds wailing, snow melting,

But, for how long you’ll continue toying?

We have business to do - things of substance

That are joy for the spring, woe to encumbrance,

With the sea’s feline and the cat of the wind,

And with me.
