I'm standing outside in cold again.

So many taxis pass by but not the one I'm waiting for.

They drive so fast like the leaves that whirl around.

And I stand and wait

and wonder if it's me or us.

I feel the cold outside and inside myself.

The rain starts to fall and the wind whispers, it's autumn.

My taxi is here at last and we drive downtown.

And I wish that it was light outside

and not night like now in the middle of the day.

I walk through the town like I did so many times before.

I walk slowly forward and the only thing I hear is the sound of my footsteps.

I walk as fast as my heart beats.

And I would like to know

where you are and how you are.

It's raining again…

I know this feeling oh so well

I don't know what happened and why everything went wrong.

The rain has stopped but I'm still cold.

I stand alone by the bar

and wonder if it's me or we two.

I walk slowly home and it's raining again.

Many people pass me by

but I recognize no-one.

They enter and leave my life so quickly.

And I would like to know the answer

why the two of us remained here all alone.
