I didn’t like this colour

It’s dirty, dull, and miserable

So I decided

To search for a new colour

Flowers by the roadside, the first snowfall

The afternoon sky in all seasons, a disappearing flame

The changing vivid colours of this world

My own colour is decided by myself

So I’m not afraid

I’ll dye that white canvas

But I wonder why my chest hurts

Someday, while spacing out

“I wonder what colour I am now”

It’s scary but I want to know

I will ask my friends

Red, blue, black, green, purple

It’s a mess but

It hasn’t been seen anywhere else

It makes everyone smile

Everyone’s voice gives me courage

That’s right, it doesn’t have to be dyed

Everyone’s colours pile up on top of each other

And becomes a single colour

When a lot of people come together

Loving, being loved, causing pain, in pain

When a lots of voices sound together

My world is colourful

Thank you, thank you

Some days my own colour can be

Dirty and dull but

Now I can think proudly

This is my own colour

I’ll keep singing and deliver my voice

I don’t have anything to lose anymore

If it won’t change, I will keep trying to change

To get to the other side of this door

Even now, this strange colour

I am very fond of it
